Scripture Reference: Psalm 51:10, Psalm 73:26, Philippians 4:7, John 14:27, Psalm 9:1

We live in a World that is unkind, and it grows even darker with each passing day. From the Holy Scriptures we know that out of our hearts flow the issues of life. (Proverbs 4:23) We are instructed by GOD Himself to keep our hearts. Keep our hearts how and for what you may ask? Well, to keep our hearts from all hate, to keep our hearts from all evil, to keep our hearts pure and free from what the World around us justifies as necessary for survival and most importantly, to keep our hearts from being tainted by what we see, what we hear and what we experience in this life.

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭51‬:‭10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The key is to acknowledge within ourselves that we don’t think the right thoughts all the time, we don’t act with genuine love towards others all the time and that there is a daily need to ask GOD to clean up our hearts. Not only that, but that we need to be refreshed inside by the Spirit of our Living GOD through His Son JESUS CHRIST every day as well.

“My flesh and my heart faileth: But God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭73‬:‭26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s hard to admit that we make mistakes, and that we make decisions that end up effecting us to the point that we act out of character. But, after we request to GOD that He clears our hearts and changes our thoughts.. reflecting on and believing that He alone is the only One that can make our hearts stronger to get through what is causing our pain and accepting that leaning into His loving arms is not only all that we need, but it is exactly what we need to do.

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

No one can even come to know GOD fully without His Son JESUS CHRIST. So to understand the peace that was promised to us (John 14:27) and that it will be the safety net that catches the broken pieces of our hearts and gathers the stability of our minds together to keep us from falling apart, comes solely through JESUS CHRIST living on the inside.

“I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭9‬:‭1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Now after He has cleaned up that heart, replaced that old troubled spirit within us with a new lively Spirit and we choose to praise Him with our whole heart for the victory that He has given to us.. then, we can effectively tell any and everyone about how He has changed our hearts from shattered to brand new, our minds from being worn down to new well oiled machines and how He is using our lives as living testimonies of His goodness towards us!!!

Final Thought: “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭19‬:‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I pray that the words that come out of our mouth, may we all choose to use them to bless the LORD instead of to curse others, the things in our hearts may they be pleasing in GOD’s eyes and may we always remember that His joy is our strength and that He through His Son JESUS CHRIST is the Keeper of our Souls!!!
