Scripture Reference: 1 John 3:16, Romans 5:8, John 13:34-35, John 15:9, 1 John 4:7-8

I don’t even need to tell you that we are living in a World that is being almost over powered with cowardly hate. Strong words? Perhaps..  Appropriate for the time at hand? Indeed.. 

“Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.”

‭‭1 John‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

GOD sent His second Son (JESUS; Adam was the first) to die for us all. FACT! He requires us to show the same compassion in the most simple form.. choose to love one another rather than to hate.

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Just think, even knowing that His creation (human beings) would not only disobey Him, not only would reject JESUS our Savior (and still do) and would resort to violent acts against one another.. GOD still maintains His unfailing love towards us just as He promised centuries ago.

“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”

‭‭John‬ ‭13‬:‭34‬-‭35‬ ‭KJV‬‬

JESUS gave those that truly love Him specific orders to love each other just like He loves us all. No matter what race, color, gender, nationality, ethnicity, doctrinal differences, beliefs, moral differences.. you get the point. He then says that this is exactly how the World around us will readily identify us (even without us having to shout out or openly profess that we live for and follow Him).. by the genuine love that we show outwardly for others (not just to our family, besties or those who agree with us on everything.

“As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.”

‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

JESUS plainly states that He loves us just like our Father GOD in Heaven loves Him, but goes on further to say that we should follow in His footsteps and be living examples in showing that same level of love to each other.

“For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭54‬:‭10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This Scripture among many others is a bright light for us all as we walk on life’s path through a dark World. No matter what happens to us and around us, our GOD will never stop handing out His mercy even in our failures so much so that He promised that it wouldn’t stop chasing us down.. and when we choose Him, and I do mean really choose Him, He said that not only will He give us peace but also that His ever flowing nature of kindness will never take flight and walk away from us.

Final Thought: “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Some may take this as harsh and that’s okay because I didn’t write it nor am I begging you to believe it. Being born of GOD (repented of sins, baptized in the Name of The LORD JESUS CHRIST, filled with the gift of the HOLY GHOST which will actively live inside of you) leads to knowing Him more and more while taking on His characteristics which will show through and through by the why that we love others. On the flip side, when we choose not to love others for whatever reasons that we fill self-justification in doing so, there’s no way that GOD is living inside of us because He is love. Make the choice at your own leisure.. to be consumed by GODLY LOVE!!!
