Scripture Reference: Exodus 12:3, 5, 7, 12-13, Hebrews 9:13-14, 1 John 1:7

What if you were told that in order to save your family from certain death by an unstoppable disease, you had to have a specific marking on the outside of where you lived? Would you believe enough to do it? Or, would you pass it off as just more “fake news”? Now think in terms of you yourself actually being a temple of GOD, a house wherein the Holy Ghost must live showing the marking that the Blood of JESUS has cleansed you from the inside out. Do you believe wholly what the Scriptures tell us all, that we must be “born of water (Baptism in The Name of JESUS CHRIST) and of the Spirit (receiving The Gift of The Holy Ghost) in order to inherit our rightful destiny around the Throne of Glory for all eternity?

“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” John‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Let’s dive in!!!

“Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:” ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭12‬:‭3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Children of Israel were instructed by GOD through Moses and Aaron to have a lamb for each of their houses. This wasn’t symbolic at all, at that time it was actuality.

“Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:”

‭‭Exodus‬ ‭12‬:‭5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The significance of the lamb was far greater than those at that time probably could ever imagine. The lamb had to be pure, with no spots, it had to be male and in the first year of its life (a yearling). The lamb had to be removed from either a sheep or a goat. JESUS Himself is The Lamb that in this day we must choose.

“And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.” ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭12‬:‭7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Children of Israel were told exactly how their houses had to be marked, so that they could be identified. We too have been told how we should be found and what must take place, that want to go back with JESUS when He comes. (Acts 2:38, Ephesians 5:27)

“For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭9‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

There is no more sacrifice(s) that cover our sin(s) like in the days recorded in the Old Testament, and before CHRIST came into the World. JESUS was to be and was the only sacrifice worthy of redeeming us from this sinful World that we were born into. So now, there is no excuse that we ourselves have nothing to sacrifice.. oh but we do, as we are to offer up our own bodies as living sacrifices, perfectly accepted by GOD, which is the least that we could do being that He shows us all grace, mercy, compassion and long suffering, unconditional love. (Romans 12:1)

“but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”

Final Thought: The fact remains that there could be no sacrifice without the shedding of blood. For us today thank GOD we have been given a path to eternal salvation. The Scripture itself tells us that if we choose to walk in and remain in The Light which is salvation through JESUS CHRIST while living in the darkness of this evil World around us, we are one with each other in doing the same things that we were instructed to do (just like the Children of Israel).. and by the blood of JESUS CHRIST, we are washed clean from the sinful nature that we were all born into. So, there is no denying that it is absolutely necessary to have BLOOD ON THE DOORPOST!!!
