Scriptures Reference: Colossians 1:21-22

Depending on where you are in the World, some have already entered into a new year.. while some are still waiting to count down. Nevertheless, this is a great time to look back over the year that’s ending to reflect on the changes that you made and the changes that still need to be made. No matter what, remembering how our Savior paid the full cost of our redemption by making us free from being slaves to sin with His life on the cross, should be a daily thought that is meditated on.

So let’s dive in!!!

“And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paul writes to the congregation in Colossae (Colosse) reminding them of the state of mind that they were in before they accepted the truth of GOD’s Word and began a conscious effort to walk worthy in obedience. After choosing to follow CHRIST, now they had been brought back to GOD by the renewing of their minds and hearts that hungered and thirsted for righteousness.

(1 Corinthians 6:9-11)

“in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This verse continues what Paul was explaining to the congregation in that, through the punishment that CHRIST endured (as a man, with the same body we have) even to his death, was so that those who believe on Him would be without the guilt of sin, pure in a tainted World and without any faults that others can use against them. (2 Peter 3:14)

Final Thought: “And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:”

With fear and honor for our GOD in CHRIST JESUS with the time that we have left in this life, knowing that we all will be judged by JESUS (not men) no matter who, or social status, or wealth or influence, nor personal self-righteousness. Our very lives were bought with a very high price, not money, stocks or bonds, nor with credit, nor by what any of us think makes us the holiest of holy.. but, by the precious Blood of our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST Who never committed a sin and was pure from birth to glory! Consider this if you haven’t and remember this if you already know.. we all have time now to choose to and remain RECONCILED BY CHRIST!!!
