You Don’t Know What You Can Handle, Until You’re Alone179th BDS – February 7, 2026Scripture Reference: Matthew 26:56, 2 Timothy 4:16, Psalm 25:15-16, 17-18, 19-20Considering all that is going on in the World around us, as I sit here in Southeast Asia I am reminded of those who were alone at times in their lives. Even our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST was deserted by those who followed Him and claimed that they would never leave Him. So, when it comes to us.. why should we even give thought to the feeling of loneliness when those before us encountered the very same issue at times, yet they too were delivered? So, let’s dive in and gain more strength!!!“But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.”Matthew 26:56 KJVYes, the Scriptures had to come to pass or be fulfilled as they were written by the prophets who came before because every Word of GOD is true. When JESUS was arrested and led away by those who wanted Him dead, we read that His very own disciples turned their backs on Him and ran away.“At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.”2 Timothy 4:16 KJVThe Apostle Paul wrote that some like Alexander the coppersmith did him wrong (vs. 15), and not a few but all men had left his side during the rough times that he had. Yet, he had the presence of mind and of a pure heart prayed that GOD would not hold it against them. Yes, even those that did him harm and those who decided to leave him.“Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; For he shall pluck my feet out of the net. Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; For I am desolate and afflicted.”Psalm 25:15-16 KJVKing David, in all that he went through was our example of what we should do even in the midst of struggles in this life. He looked to where he knew all of his help was and would surely come from.(Psalm 121:1-2)David stood firm on the fact that GOD would rescue him from all the troubles that he faced. But, he didn’t stop there! He asked GOD to face him and through His unlimited mercy, he would be more than capable of overcoming the deep feelings of losing people in his life and the pain that came with it.“The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses. Look upon mine affliction and my pain; And forgive all my sins.” Psalm 25:17-18 KJVDavid confessed openly to GOD, that the issues in his heart were growing bigger and cried out for help with all that was happening to him. But, he didn’t stop there! Even while in the middle of the storms raging in his life, he still had the presence of mind to ask for forgiveness for all that he had done that was not pleasing in the sight of GOD.“Consider mine enemies; for they are many; And they hate me with cruel hatred. O keep my soul, and deliver me: Let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.”Psalm 25:19-20 KJVOne of the many facts of life, David pointed out which was that there were many who did not like him and even hated him to the point that they would rather see him dead.(1 Samuel 19:1) But, he didn’t stop there! He asked GOD to preserve his very soul and bring him out of the evil that was attacking him. David spoke life over himself that he would not be embarrassed or feel any guilt about his blind faith in the GOD of His Salvation.Final Thought: “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.”John 14:18 KJVJust as our LORD JESUS CHRIST promised to His disciples, so too we are privy to those same promises! Thanks be to our FATHER in Heaven, through the sacrificial death of our LORD we have been left with “The Comforter” through His Holy Spirit!!! Those lonely times will not feel so lonely, in those weak moments we will remember the strength in us given by the Holy Ghost, when our own families plot against us within secret whispers behind closed door side conversations and in those late night hours when it feels like the weight of the World is heavy on our hearts there is hope and lessons in each trial, that YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU CAN HANDLE, UNTIL YOU’RE ALONE!!!-Minister Marchand, Founder and Overseer of JESUS IS GLOBAL MINISTRIES-JIGM and JESUS IS GLOBAL MINISTRY INTERNATIONAL ASSEMBLY-JIGMIA
