BDS Hot Take Pt. 1 – 6/29/2023

Scripture Reference: Matthew 5:14-16

I need you all to know that I had no intention of writing this tonight.. in fact, it was right up until the last minute that I yielded to the Voice of GOD. Man, obedience is most definitely better than sacrifice!!! (1 Samuel 15:22) Encouraging words in this day and time are few and far between.. but GOD wants His people and those who are seeking Him and those who want to get to know Him, to know that you are a light in this dark World!!! Don’t take for granted that there is power in the way that He simply allows us to wake up with the breath of life in our lungs every day. You can be assured that you do make a difference despite what others may say and/or how you may feel personally regarding your current walk with GOD.

Take into account what verse 15 says, straight from JESUS Himself: “Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.”

Meaning GOD will strategically plant you where He can most effectively use you and at the same time grow you up in Him. Sure, it may even be in the most uncomfortable conditions.. do trees get to choose what climate they grow in? Or flowers what beds they beautify? Even the weeds only grow where GOD wants them to and have uses that most of us find annoying. Right? Riiiiiiight!!! So with that being said, wherever you are right now whether it be your home life, job location, place of worship, a gas station, shopping mall, library, elementary school, middle and high school, college or technical school, even in a state of incarceration.. it doesn’t matter where you are.. you are a light!!!

Verse 16 empowers us to the reasons why we all should embrace even the smallest or should I say what we often consider the smallest insignificant roles that GOD has given to us. JESUS says: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

Meaning, whatever we are doing for The Kingdom and in whatever capacity that may be, JESUS commands us to let His Light shine in front of everyone and everywhere we go or that He sends us. The reasons, so that through our speech in conversations, our actions and/or reactions in certain situations, the expressions that we exhibit in times of trouble, and every form of duty to Him, in Him, through Him and for Him will bring glory to His Name!!! (Colossians 3:16-24)

If you will, read Colossians 3:16-24.. it covers every possible street, back alley, avenue, route, parkway and interstate highway in our every day lives on how we all should exercise in the works that He has given to us while bringing Glory to His Name!!! You are a LIGHT and you CAN NOT BE HIDDEN!!!
