Scripture Reference: Ecclesiastes 7:8
“Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.”
Ecclesiastes 7:8 KJV
In this present World, the start of something new is more than often glorified.. a new job, a new relationship, a new mindset, a new possession (house, car, friends, etc etc).. yet the end of all the aforementioned things and then some are never looked at as positive or better yet the will of GOD for our lives. Truth is, it’s become a form of indirect manipulation by the dark society around us to buy into everything deemed a “new and cool” way of avoiding responsibility for upholding what is truly righteous, the very foundation set by our Creator from the beginning.
“And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.”
Numbers 21:5 KJV
“And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?”
Exodus 14:11 KJV
These two passages of Scripture provide us with the mentality of the Children of Israel once they lost faith in the very GOD that had just rescued them from over 400 years of oppression at the hands of the Egyptians. Adversity weakened their hearts and minds to the point that they even began to weigh their present circumstances in the wilderness against the slavery that GOD had allowed them to not only endure, but also to multiply themselves into a mighty nation under.
Now mirror this with your own lives.. our GOD has for our good, ended fake friendships that could have ruined us, ended marriages that were not in His will for us, ended ties to things that we thought would profit us, ended business partnerships in what we thought would be lucrative, ended our misguided loyalty to people whose only intentions were to shape us to their liking then milk us for all that they think we were worth only to afterwards discard us without hesitation.. yet we complain to GOD as if His infinite wisdom misfired when He caused an abrupt separation.
“Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.”
Matthew 10:34-39 KJV
Final Thought: Everything was not meant to last.. everything new isn’t good for us.. and everyone is not rooting us. When our GOD ends a thing, whatever it may be.. look at His Word for guidance and know that it is all working for our good! We were all made in His image and not that of other people, nor to be controlled by other people no matter who it is and certainly not be mislead by our own emotions. Trust GOD.. it’s better for things to end than to begin.. He sees everything that we do not see in front of us!!!
